The Buncombe County Republican Party Executive Committee voted overwhelmingly to endorse Chad Adams for NCGOP Chairman, and Dr. Timothy F. Johnson for NCGOP Vice Chairman.

Elections for state party leadership positions will be held at the NCGOP state convention June 12-14 in Raleigh. All delegates from the County Convention will be eligible to vote.

It certainly was a majority, but in case someone
might think that I voted positively on this motion and its passage, the vote was not unanimous! I still
believe in freedom of religion and of free speech.
These facets of the US Constitution must be upheld,
even when it means losing an interparty battle.

It was an overwhelming majority. There were only a few people such as yourself who mistakenly interpret the US Constitution freedom of religion clause to only include Christians. Frankly, this freedom of religion extends to ALL religions, and includes those who choose NO religion.
I will always fight for your right to worship as you wish Zora. Your faith gives you strength just as mine does to me. However I must also stand up for those with different views. Just because their view happens to be different than your own, does not necessarily make them bad people or mean that they have bad morals.

Chad Adams has made too many poor judgments to have my vote. I will walk away from Republican party if this is what we endorse.
