Four great candidates shared their thoughts and ideas with us yesterday evening on a variety of topics including health care, foreign policy, abortion, the economy, and more. Ed Krause, Scott Stump, Kenny West, and Dan Eichenbaum all drew applause throughout the evening for their articulate responses to sometimes complex questions.

Special thanks to our moderators, Bill Fishburne and John North, for asking questions and keeping the candidates on track.

The Straw Poll Results:

37 Dan Eichenbaum

22 Ed Krause

19 Scott Stump

12 Kenny West

3 Undecided

1 Greg Newman (not in attendance)

0 Dan Ostergaard (not in attendance)

We also took a straw poll before the event, to gauge opinion before attendees had a chanceĀ  to listen to all the candidates speak. The results of the straw poll taken BEFORE the forum are as follows:

30 Ed Krause

26 Dan Eichenbaum

14 Undecided

12 Kenny West

8 Greg Newman (not in attendance)

5 Dan Ostergaard (not in attendance)

2 Scott Stump

Thank you to all those in our community who joined us yesterday at A-B Tech for this event. We had very positive feedback about all of our candidates and the event itself. And special thanks to our volunteers who made the evening run so smoothly: Loretta, Christy, Nancy, George, Bill, Kathie, Betty, and Mike. Thank you all!
