After years of complaints from current Buncombe GOP Chairman Chad Nesbitt and others, the local Democratic Party has finally decided to remove the name of a known white supremacist who was responsible for the massacre of hundreds of African-American Republicans in Wilmington. Democrat Charles Aycock was the 50th Governor of North Carolina and also a leading spokesman for white supremacy campaigns.
