I am grateful to know that black folk in N. C. are waking up from all of the propaganda of the last 30 years. I am 53 and went to school after integration and also worked in the fields with black people. I saw the inequities. These did not come from Republicans. We did not know any republicans. Every white was a democrat. So who was it that was perpetrating all of this hatred and discrimination. It was institutional, and compassionate whites had to act behind the scenes to avoid ridicule from other whites. It is time for blacks to speak for themselves, and I commend you.
