The Precinct Chair is the most important position in our county party. They help us win elections, and turn the current political tide and atmosphere.

This is a position for people who really want to make a positive difference in their community. Precinct Chairs typically don’t want to hold a political office, but they want to make their community better. In some cases people become Precinct Chairs in order to become more well known, and then they decide to run for office at the next election.  That’s OK too, we can help you.

We have regular trainings for new Precinct Chairs so that you’ll know how to be most effective. We also have coordinators who are here to help you every step of the way.

All we need you to do is contact us, and we can talk with you further about whether this is the right role for you.

Qualifications

  • Registered Republican
  • Connected to the internet and have an e-mail address

Responsibilities

Almost all of the responsibilities are things you already know how to do.

  • Talk to people.  Make phone calls to neighbors and friends. Talk with people at church, your golf group, your sewing circle, your club, or wherever you know people.  And they know people they’ll talk to and share your ideas.
  • Be on the lookout for volunteers who care about the direction of the country and want to help. The more people we have working in a precinct, the more we can accomplish. The party is actively recruiting volunteers to help you.
  • Attend one monthly meeting; the BCGOP Executive Committee Meeting, where you can voice your opinion and vote on the direction that we take as the county party.
