District Training Session 2011
On June 18th Republicans from all over WNC gathered together for a training session and picnic sponsored by the BCGOP.
Constitution Day 2010
While our Constitution continues to steadily erode away, the BCGOP asked our Republican candidates to sign a pledge that they would support and defend our Constitution. BCGOP officers also signed a pledge that they would hold our elected officials accountable to that pledge.
Dodge Ball Tournament
Members of the Buncombe County Republican Party participated in the Future Career Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) Dodge Ball Tournament at Erwin High School last week. Erwin's FCCLA won the NC State Championship this year which perpetuates them to the Nationals in Chicago over the July 4th weekend. The Dodge Ball Tournament raised money for the FCCLA students to go to the national event. The BCGOP's dodge ball team was called the "Kings Of Sting" and we played other teams from the school, faculty, and community! The BCGOP is proud of Erwins FCCLA and hopes they win big in Chicago.

Chamber Challenge 5K 2009
BCGOP had a 4 person team in the 2009 Chamber Challenge 5K run. Diana Kantor, Christy Blake, Dwayne Blake, and Michael Blackmon ran the full 3.1 miles and proudly wore their BCGOP t-shirts. Thanks to Max Cooper for the photos!

2009 County Convention
On March 7th we met for our annual County Convention and Precinct Meetings at A-B Tech, to elect our new officers and take care of other county GOP business. Here are a few pictures taken of the Convention by Max Cooper.
Governor Palin in Asheville
Governor Sarah Palin made a surprise visit to Asheville on Oct 26. Tens of thousands of people showed up to try to attend. These amazing photos were taken by Max Cooper.
Hoot In The Holler
The Blue Ridge Republican Women's Club had their annual Hoot In The Holler fundraiser at the Forrest Jarret Ranch in September. Proceeds went to support their election tabloid, which was inserted into thousands of newspapers around the county and highlighted all of our Republican candidates at local, state, and federal levels. Governor Palin in Greenville
Our Chairman was selected to be a greeter for Sarah Palin's visit to Greenville, NC on October 6th. Not sure who took these photos but they are terrific.

Ball Game
It was BCGOP Day at McCormick Field on August 30th. We enjoyed a buffet meal, great company, and an exciting ballgame between the Asheville Tourists and the Augusta Greenjackets. Asheville came out ahead, 7-6. Photos by Max Cooper.

Women's Club Picnic
The Buncombe County Republican Women's Club, along with the Blue Ridge Republican Women's Club, organized a wonderful potluck picnic at the Governor's Western Residence.
